today my wife and i lost both an aunt and a good friend. within a few hours of each other, my aunt died of a long battle with cancer, and my wife's college friend was in a fatal car crash sometime this morning. it all seems to flood over me like the constant rain we've been having this memorial day weekend. life' precarious, priceless.
